Here’s to a good night’s sleep

This video shows the sleeping kit I will be carrying on our 4 month Norway ski trip, the Norge på Langs. The trip begins on the 3rd of January 2022 (covid restrictions permitting) and will end some time in Mid-April, hopefully the same year. During this time we will be sleeping in a variety of places from our rather flimsy tent (see blog Are we really going to be sleeping in that!?”), to basic cabins with nothing more than a wooden floor and a wood burning stove, to the odd luxurious hotel. Mostly we will be in basic cabins and it is important we get a good nights sleep. With temperatures as low as -30 degrees Centigrade (-22 degrees Fahrenheit) a good sleeping bag is pretty important. I will be using the qualities of the down sleeping bag kindly provided by Mountain Equipment to keep me warm. My partner on this expedition, David, will be using it for the same reasons, but additionally to muffle the sound of my snoring. Or at least that’s what Mrs P says.

If you have any questions, or observations, do feel free to ask in the comments below.

Finally, before you hit the play button, I apologise for the sound quality. There are 2 problems:

  1. I don’t have a decent microphone, so had to use the built in one on my laptop (maybe I should buy one.)

  2. I have a slight Brummie accent (Maybe I should take elocution lessons)
